- Reducing Heat-Related Illness and Irregular Migration: Targeting the sugar and garment sectors in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, PREP for Change mitigates occupational hazards. Safer, more stable jobs diminish the pressure to migrate, weakening cartel and trafficking networks.
- Boosting Worker Productivity and ROI: Proven measures like rest-shade-hydration not only cut kidney injury risk by up to 70% but also increase output by up to 19%. This approach has delivered up to a 60% return on investment in prior projects.
By removing key drivers of irregular migration and restricting criminal enterprises, LIN’s interventions fortify U.S. border security. Moreover, healthier workers mean fewer healthcare burdens and a more robust marketplace, ensuring the United States remains stronger and more prosperous.
