This month four talented individuals joined La Isla Foundation’s Staff. Here’s a little about their unique traits and aspirations:
Megan Groves (Media & Communications Manager) lives in Chicago and has over four years of experience in nonprofit communications. She has a B.A. from Columbia College Chicago and is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Marketing Management from North Park University.
Jammie Mountz (Design Specialist) graduated from University of Pittsburgh and has experience in marketing and communications. She has pursued graphic design as a hobby since she was in middle school and is happy to be living and working with the La Isla Foundation team in León, Nicaragua.
Purvi Patel (Interim Chief Operating Officer) is originally from the Chicago area. She has a Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law and a Masters in Public Health from Tufts School of Medicine. Prior to law school, she worked in fundraising and development for multiple Chicago area non-profits, and worked professionally in theatre as a stage manager and lighting tech.
Jenny White (Development Manager) earned a double major in Spanish and International Relations from University of California, Davis, and has experience working in sales and marketing. She’s passionate about Latin American politics and history, and is thrilled to now live in León, Nicaragua and contribute to La Isla’s mission.
