How is CKDnT different from CKD?

In all parts of the world, people die of kidney failure — but not all kidney diseases are the same.

You may know someone who has suffered from chronic kidney disease (CKD) as a result of diabetes or high blood pressure. Between 8 and 10% of the population worldwide is affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD).[ref]http://www.worldkidneyday.org/faqs/chronic-kidney-disease/[/ref]

Chronic kidney disease of undetermined causes (CKDnT) is not the same as most of the CKD seen in rich countries.

It occurs in different age groups and occurs in poor agricultural communities.
